SPECIAL FEATURE: WINDRUSH - 75 YEARS LATER

This June marks the 75th Anniversary of Windrush. On 22nd June 1948, the Empire Windrush docked in the UK carrying 1,025 passengers from Jamaica, Barbados, British Guiana (now Belize) and other then British Territories in our region. These individuals had been encouraged to come to Britain to help rebuild that country post World War II. Many of those individuals faced difficulties there but many also helped shape Britain as it is today.
